Schrödinger's spymaster no more. For three decades Ali Asghar Hejazi ran security and intelligence inside the Supreme Leader's office: the man whose job was to keep Khamenei's location secret. On 5 March he testified to the dead leader's will against the son's succession, per Iran International; on 6 March Israeli media reported him killed in a strike on an underground Tehran compound; on 9 March a joint loyalty message surfaced over his name; on 13 March Iran International reported him pushing to replace the new leader with a council.
