But that split does NOT mean one of them stands with the people. On the record of killing protesters, they are identical: ▪️ Khamenei issued the kill order ▪️ Pezeshkian, as head of the National Security Council, issued the kill order ▪️ IRGC commanders carried it out ▪️ Araghchi justified the December massacre on the world stage Their only real disagreement is tactical: what to do about the United States so that the Islamic Republic survives.
