This is the third time Iran loses the Caspian.
First Golestan. Then Turkmenchay. Then Akhal — nearly one million square kilometers of Iranian land handed north.
Now the third round: the eastern Caspian gone, the western Caspian gone, and now Iran's own share of the sea itself.

And it isn't only the waters — it's the seabed and the subsoil, where the resources are. It has been signed. Now it goes to parliament for ratification. They call it a "convention," but once a government signs it and the legislature ratifies it, it carries the force of a treaty. Anyone who has studied international law understands exactly what that means.
These lands are Iran's. These waters are Iran's. The seabed and the subsoil are Iran's.
