Colonel Shahrzad Zamiri, deputy for social affairs of the Khorasan Razavi police, was detained for standing with the people — and has now been released on bail. She didn't just refuse to take part in the crackdown; she physically stood in its way. That is why they arrested her. Some will say: it's only one case, the numbers are small. The numbers are not the point today. The point is that the crack has started from the inside — the moment a uniformed commander says: what you are doing is the crime of repression, and I will not be part of it.
