The moment you bring up a well-sourced story, the pushback starts: don't say that, it demoralizes people. Don't say that, the regime will use it. Don't say that, because... because... The result: there is no such thing as free speech in the Farsi media space. None. The rule should be simple — if a claim has a credible reference, it gets discussed. Public awareness matters more than temporary comfort. Because if I know something and don't tell you, and you know something and don't tell me, we all stay in the dark. That isn't solidarity.
