Those warehouses have to be somewhere. The Islamic Republic's survival strategy is simple: transfer every ounce of external pressure onto the Iranian people — higher prices, worse internet, tighter repression, emptier tables. It is willing to let people lose half their daily calories rather than give up an inch of power. But its Achilles' heel is the very thing it thinks makes it strong: systemic corruption and hoarding. Because if you hoard, the warehouses must physically exist somewhere. In revolutionary France and in England, hungry crowds eventually found them. Sooner or later, that moment comes to Iran too.
