Then Khomeini took power and declared: to preserve the regime, prayer can be suspended. And more: to preserve the regime, lying becomes obligatory. Slander becomes obligatory. Drinking alcohol becomes obligatory. Note the crucial distinction — in Islamic law, a forbidden act can become *permissible* under necessity: if you're forced, it's excused. But "obligatory" means you SIN by refusing. You sin by NOT drinking. That single word exposes everything: Islam was never the principle.
