The Islamic Republic today is weaker than Saddam Hussein's Iraq. Here's why.
Iraq in 1991 lacked three things Iran has right now:
1. A nationwide uprising of millions
2. A clear leadership for transition — Prince Reza Pahlavi
3. A diaspora of 7–8 million Iranians actively powering the national movement
And the decisive difference: Saddam's system was ONE unified command. He decided, the Baath Party executed, a 1.1 million-strong army stood behind him.
The Islamic Republic is fractured:
Ghalibaf gifts a Persian rug to Iraq's parliament speaker in Baghdad — while the IRGC fires drones at Erbil.
One mouth calls Iraq a friendly neighbor, the other hand throws punches.
A regime that can't speak with one voice cannot survive coordinated global pressure.
We, the Iranian people, are united. They are not.
