The man who runs Iran's Revolutionary Guard has been wanted by Interpol since 2007. Ahmad Vahidi, charged by Argentina over the 1994 AMIA bombing that killed 85 people, took command of the IRGC on 1 March 2026 through a decree signed by a dead man. No new decree has ever been published. Through the spring he vetoed every intelligence minister the president proposed, and per ISW he is the only official with direct access to the new Supreme Leader. He vanished for five months, was reported killed in a strike, then reappeared beside Khamenei's casket on 3 July. The rumor died. The red notice did not.
